Rick Rotante - Biography

"It takes a very long time to realize your true calling. Fame, money at first are the icons that motivate. As time passes and maturity sets in, one realizes these things are fleeting and generally not what makes you who you are. An artist paints to leave a mark on the world, to say something about what he has seen and believes the world is or can be.  Many go unsung but their work prevails for future generations and hopefully they too see what the artist saw.  I hope to leave a body of work that will make others happy, make others think on their own life."

An artist of 40 years experience, he has sold and exhibited in New York City and California. Taught at New York University, Glendale College Adult program. He is currently teaching painting, drawing at "Art Classes of Pasadena" (formally Sinaloa Studios) in Pasadena. His work can be found in several private collections.
