Reflection and Regrouping

Another year passes and it is time to reflect on our accomplishments. It is a time to think of the future and the wonderful things ahead. Looking to the future, I have high hopes of things to come. There are works I have been thinking of doing and art I want to try and see in galleries and museums. This year has been a productive one for me. I accomplished a great deal. I feel it is a time to appreciate the gifts I have been given; having the ability to produce art. And the chance to continue to work and teach and exhibit. I have been blessed on many levels. Health, ability, capability and productivity. I hope all artists everywhere get the same opportunities to create their vision. And I hope those visions are good and satisfying. The world needs artists even more today. I have witnessed some incredible artwork on the internet this year. It has renewed my faith in people. I know there will be challenges with technologies encroaching on us. But, human, handmade art, I feel , will never be replaced by machines. We need to keep the faith and produce wonderful pictures and express positive ideas. We can do this because we have a heart. We have empathy and compassion and an intrinsic understanding of life and what it means to live. And be human. This is what will keep us and what we produce at the forefront of this industry. have a great holiday and a productive New Year. Peace on Earth.
